I grew up in Mexico and proudly share my culture and traditions with you. Together with my German husband, I founded FairMex in mid-2021 – out of love for handmade, traditional treasures from my home country.
When you buy from us, you're not getting a mass-produced item, but a true unique piece with soul – and directly supporting the people who created it.

FairMex is about more than just decoration – it's about a journey through the colorful world of Mexico. That's why we source our goods exclusively from individuals, small work groups, and indigenous communities in Mexico. We maintain personal contact with our artisans and support them long-term through fair trade.

Our products are crafted by experienced artisans using ancient, traditional techniques – some with tools dating back to the time of the Maya and Aztecs. Every piece tells a story and carries the soul of Mexico within it.

Our indigenous women's working group from Chiapas
These women are true artists and make a living from producing unique textile works of art such as hand-woven and embroidered cushion covers and table runners. The skills have been passed down through generations and date back to the Mayan era. See for yourself and discover their works of art! 😊
True handcraft
In this picture you can see Maria embroidering a table runner. These table runners are first woven by hand using an ancient technique and then embroidered.
Traditional craftsmanship
Our hats are handcrafted by our artisans in Guadalajara, Mexico. For generations, high-quality hats in various shapes and colors have been made there. We pay attention to the highest quality and to ensuring that our artisans are paid fairly. Whether it's a fedora, yute, boater, cowboy or unusual hats - there's something for everyone!
